In a stunning display of skill and dominance at the Canadian Grand Prix last weekend, Max Verstappen secured his 41st victory in Formula 1. With this win, he joined racing legend Ayrton Senna on the list of drivers with most wins. Coincidentally, it was in Montreal where Hamilton equaled Senna's qualifying record and now holds both records – 103 pole positions and grand prix wins.

However, Lewis Hamilton recognizes that these records may not stand for long considering Verstappen's incredible career trajectory so far. The British driver has praised Red Bull's ace driver for doing an "amazing job" and is convinced that he will eventually surpass both Senna's figures as well as his own.

Speaking about Verstappen breaking his records, Hamilton stated emphatically: "He’s got a very long career ahead of him so absolutely [Verstappen can eclipse my record]. Ultimately, records are there to be broken." Despite acknowledging the threat posed by Verstappen to his legacy in F1 history books, Hamilton expressed hope for more close racing with Red Bull during the remaining years of his career.

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner also hailed Max Verstappen as an emerging talent and placed him in the same league as the all-time greats of Formula 1. Horner noted that Verstappen's performance at the Canadian Grand Prix, where he shared the podium with Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton, exemplified the last two decades of F1 racing.

Horner said: "What we're witnessing with Max is the emergence of another mega talent and you can start to talk about him in the same sentence as the greats now." He commended Verstappen for consistently delivering exceptional performances at such a high level.

While Verstappen remained reserved about matching Ayrton Senna's win record, he expressed his pride in achieving this milestone and emphasized his desire to continue winning more races. Acknowledging that Verstappen may not display overt emotions publicly, Horner revealed that behind closed doors, his driver would undoubtedly appreciate his accomplishments.

"Part of him inside will be quite proud of that," Horner added. "I don't think he's one to show huge emotion. He's a very modest guy... But I think behind the scenes, it will actually mean quite a lot to him."

Hamilton also addressed Red Bull's growing dominance in F1 by urging his Mercedes team to find ways to slow down their rival and preserve his records. The battle between Mercedes and Red Bull has intensified over recent seasons, with both teams vying for supremacy on track.

As Hamilton acknowledged Verstappen's potential threat to surpassing his records, he highlighted their responsibility as competitors to push themselves harder if they want their achievements in Formula 1 to endure.

"But as I said," Hamilton stated firmly, "we've got to work harder to try and continue to extend it." He recognized Red Bull's strength as a team but emphasized Mercedes' commitment towards maintaining their success while embracing closer competition on track.

With Max Verstappen poised for further success in Formula 1 based on his consistent performance and growing list of accomplishments, the racing world eagerly awaits whether he will indeed break Lewis Hamilton's records. As these two titans of the sport continue to battle it out on track, fans can expect thrilling races and record-breaking moments in the seasons to come.

Ultimately, whether Verstappen surpasses Hamilton's 103 grand prix victories or 100 pole positions remains uncertain. However, what is certain is that both drivers have left an indelible mark on the sport of Formula 1 and have etched their names among the all-time greats.
